Embarrassing Moments

As I am getting farther along in my pregnancy I am realizing that embarrassing moments do tend to happen, even when you are not with the in-laws! Usually my most embarrassing moments happen in the company of my in-laws, or the grandparents in-law but over the past several months, embarrassing things have happened sporadically throughout what I might have thought to be a normal day. Take the first embarrassing moment: I am teaching my class of 9 spunky kindergarteners and I look up to see one of my students picking their nose. Ok so that is gross enough when you are not pregnant, but when you are pregnant it is really, really gross. However the story does not end there, not only does the students pick their nose, THEY EAT IT TOO!!!!!! Ok, ewwwwwwwwwww, disgusting and gross!! I threw up all over her!!! I could not help it, I felt so bad, but it was so gross! Whew, I am glad that is over, try explaining to a parent why you threw-up all over their child, NOT one of my favorite conversations! :)

This brings us to embarrassing story number two: Last weekend my sister, my mom and I took a fun family trip to Branson to buy some maternity clothes. I was so happy to find cute clothes I thought I would wear my maternity jeans to work last week. You know I am starting to get bigger, I thought it would be a fun adventure! I was so wrong! I put the jeans on, they were a little big, no worries though because I am growing every single second. Well I am sitting on the couch with my boss (Griffin's mom, he is the little boy that I nanny for) with my legs crossed, we were hanging out just chatting it up. I go to stand up and catch my huge pant leg with my foot, and thus my pants come tumbling straight down!! Oh yes they did! Let me tell you that the recovery time for britches falling seemed to be one million years, I thought I was never going to get those darn things back up!! Hmmmmm, extremely embarrassing!!!

I am sure the embarrassing moments are not over, but as I was thinking about it on my way home this evening and I had to laugh out! I am so thankful for grace and laughter! :) See you guys later!

Is there anything better in life than spewing your stomach contents onto an unsuspecting 5 year old? The look on that girls face as she tried to wipe that warm, mostly digested breakfast off of her must have been priceless. You know that's going to be a story that young lady tells her grandchildren. Priceless. I have got to work a regurgitation story into my blog...Look for that.
